Psalm 91

1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."
3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 If you make the Most High your dwelling
even the LORD, who is my refuge-
10 then no harm will befall you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him
and show him my salvation."

I'll Trust You
I'll Trust You
You know the way that I walk Lord,
Be it daytime or at night.
And I know that You're God of the darkness,
As well as God of the light.
Although my pathway seems weary,
I know You will carry me through.
Because You have proved to me many times,
That all of Your promises are true.
I may be discouraged or discontent,
With the way You have chosen for me,
But I know that someday I will look back,
And Your plan I will clearly see.
Please help me to trust when I am doubting,
Help me to be strong when I am weak,
And always to look for Your hand in my trial,
And always Your will to seek.
I know You're wiser than I am,
My welfare is close to Your heart.
My faith will be deepened and strengthened,
And Your grace to me You'll impart.
You know the length and depth of this trial,
In Your wisdom You have allowed it all.
I'll trust You as I walk by faith, not sight,
And in praise at Your feet I will fall.

Blind Trust
The Lord isnt really being slow about His promise as some people think. No He is being patient for your sake
2 Peter 3:9
It wasnt the first time I had to rely on the Lord blindly, financially, but this took on a whole new meaning.
It all began when I asked the Lord if I should sell my home. On hearing the answer yes, I placed my house up for sale and six weeks later it was sold. Praise the Lord for answered prayers.
The buyer wanted a quick, cash sale and attended the house twice within two weeks to measure up the property. Things moved quickly and smoothly and within no time at all, I was sat in the solicitors office, signing the final documentation that both my self and the buyer had to sign, in order for the sale to be completed.
However days became weeks and weeks became months and he had not signed the document. Finally I asked him out right after a number of discussions if he intended on buying the property and he assured me he did. So with prayer I trusted the Lord. You see I had a fix term mortgage which needed to be renewed but owing to the sale, it was pointless tying my self into another contract. So I had to pay the difference, which I did, but struggled to pay other bills. However I didnt worry as the sale would leave me with sufficient funds to clear all debts comfortably.
Well the sale didnt take place and the buyer left me in no doubt that he was playing a game which I was not prepared to play. However this delay placed me in a pit of debt, which neednt have happened. Turning to the Lord he gave me many, many scriptures to encourage me along this journey of blind trust. 1 Kings 17: 2 16 was a huge source of strength to me and a daily guide, especially verse 4, last part, which reads, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you. I can say when my resources ran out the ravens came, many, many times throughout my experience.
During this experience the Lord laid on my heart, that I should not discuss my plight, and rely on him for all my needs. So for the majority of the time I said nothing, but at times our trials can be so hard, that those closes to us can tell, and the level of generosity showered upon me by friends, still leave me astounded. On one occasion I had a debt to pay, the deadline had gone and threats had been made to take me to court. I cried Lord, how can I attend court, the very place where I work. My prayer like so many was answered and at the twelfth hour the Lord provided for me, by a friend who Im not that close to. But the Lord, hallelujah, laid on their heart my financial need, and they asked me to tot up all my payments for that month and they would transferred the money into my account. I thanked them with the few words that I could find, as I was so overwhelmed by the huge gift. However when I had hung up the phone I realised that I had forgotten a couple of payments. The Lord said ring them back, and ask for the
money. I thought you got to be kidding God. But obedience is better than sacrifice, so I rung back, and without a pause the person said no problem, God has already told me too increase the amount. By now Im blown away, what a mighty God we serve.
As I continued to seek the Lord I noticed that the ravens came fewer and during prayer one day the Lord showed me that the brook had dried up as mentioned in 1 Kings 17:7 and the words I have commanded a widow to sustain thee, mentioned in verse 9, impressed upon my heart, by this I knew that my help was going to come in a different form. By now I had reached a point where I had to either rent my home or lose it.
Praise God Im not homeless and the song hes already provided comes to mind along with the scripture
before they call I will answer
(Isaiah 65:24). God has been faithful during this difficult trial, and Like David I can truly see that I have never been forsaken nor left begging bread. (Psalms 37:25). To this day the buyer has never said I no longer want the property and I am still confident that my Fathers word to sell remains. I am thankful to Abba Father for increasing my faith, for the written word, my Family, God bless you all, Friends and Strangers who the Father used to shower me with such love, words of encouragement and hope, that this too shall pass, and as Romans 8:37 says
despite all these things overwhelming victory is ours through Christ who loved us.
